How do I put the socks on properly?

First, be aware if your socks have a hole for a pin-lock and if it does, find the hole in the sock and put the pin through the hole. After that is done, finish stretching the sock over the limb trying to prevent wrinkles as you go.

How many socks should I wear?

We recommend beginning your day wearing the same amount of socks you ended your previous day wearing. You may need to add or remove socks throughout your day depending on your comfort level and volume fluctuation. If you have pain at the bottom of your leg, you may try adding socks. As always, if any of these adjustments do not relieve the discomfort, contact our office for an appointment.

When do I add socks?

Wearing the leg throughout the day results in the limb shrinking and needing more sock(s) to be worn.

When should I wash my socks?

Socks should be washed at least every other day minimum. Socks may be washed in the washing machine with warm water and dried in the dryer. Do not use liquid fabric softener. You will receive care instructions on the sock packaging.

How often should socks be replaced?

If washed and cared for properly, socks should last approximately 4–6 months. After this time, they may become frayed and thinned. This results in the need for replacement.

How often should liners be replaced?

The replacement period for liners can vary depending on the amount and type of use that they sustain. If a liner becomes too loose it can cause unwanted friction and you should contact our office to schedule an appointment for liner replacement.

When should I wash my liners?

We recommend washing your liners by hand, daily with soap and water. You can hang them to dry or use the foam insert, if one was provided with your liner. This allows the liner to dry properly, preventing unwanted buildup and bacteria.
DO NOT PUT YOUR LINERS IN THE DRYER, LET THEM AIR DRY
